FAQ

General

Is there support available on site?

Yes, when you arrive, you’ll receive a warm welcome from Oumar, our local partner and the receptionist at Riad Nabil, where you’ll be staying. He’ll welcome you and give you a few pointers before you set off on your trip.

A few days before departure, you’ll also get access to a chat with everyone leaving on the same date. You can use it to chat with one another or with our ranger in whichever language you prefer.

Is this trip suitable for children? And for a pregnant woman?

Yes, this trip is completely suitable for children! Most hotels have a swimming pool to relax in after days of sightseeing. With the exception of days 3 and 4, when travel times are a bit longer, driving times remain reasonable and the program is packed with fun and entertaining activities to share as a family.

For pregnant women, there is no absolute medical contraindication to participating in this trip. However, keep the following points in mind:

Medical advice: We strongly recommend that you seek approval from your doctor or gynecologist before departure.

Health & Prevention: Remember to check access to healthcare along your itinerary and make sure you protect yourself well from the sun and heat during activities.

Diet & Precautions: Opt for cooked and piping hot dishes like tagines or couscous, which pose no risk. Avoid undercooked meats, unpasteurized dairy products (some local fresh cheeses), and raw vegetables/fresh salads if you doubt how they were washed. Finally, drink exclusively bottled water with a sealed cap and avoid ice cubes.

Is it safe to travel to Morocco as a group of women, either on your own or in pairs?

Yes, absolutely! Morocco is a very safe country for female travellers. In the major cities, you may occasionally be approached by locals, but you simply need to ignore them. The medinas benefit from a strong presence of the tourist police, which enhances safety. Outside the cities, in rural or desert areas, there is really nothing to worry about.

Over the past three years, we’ve hosted many all-female duos and have never received any negative feedback regarding safety. To travel with peace of mind, simply stay confident and respectful of local customs.

How old do you have to be to drive in Morocco?

For this trip, you must be at least 23 years old and have held a driver’s license for at least 2 years to drive a car. For those between the ages of 21 and 23 who have held a driver’s license for at least 1 year, a young driver surcharge of 50€ will be applied.

What documents do I need for this trip?
  • An identity card (for EU residents) or an international passport valid for at least 6 months after your return date.
  • A national or European driving licence.
How many people can we take on this trip?

This trip is available for groups of 2, 3, 4 or 5 people (subject to availability). The standard base price is calculated on the basis of two people per vehicle.

Prices per person:

  • Duo (2 people): €750 / person (1 vehicle)

What time can I access my room on the first day in Marrakech?

Check-in at Riad Nabil is from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. If you arrive earlier, you can still leave your luggage at the hotel and head out to explore the city right away. Please always contact Oumar, the receptionist, to let him know what time you'll arrive. If you expect to arrive later (after 11 p.m.), please contact Oumar at least one day in advance. His number can be found in the app.

Extending your stay in Marrakech

If you’d like to stay a few extra days in Marrakech before or after your trip, to explore the city at your own pace, that’s absolutely fine!

You can contact Riad Casa Nomads or Riad Soulmate directly; both are located near the riad where you’ll be staying during your trip. They’ll be delighted to welcome you for a few extra nights.
